To be published by The Select Centre as a print and digital magazine, CANOPY takes as its inspiration the metaphor used by the late cultural doyen Kuo Pao Kun describing the beauty of multiculturalism.

The canopy of a rainforest is not only where most of the cross-pollination occurs, it also possesses the most vibrancy in terms of animal and plant activity, despite its relative lack of visibility to those at the ground level.

The name, thus, reflects the goal of the magazine to document and promote the intercrossing of different languages and cultures, with a strong focus on literary works in the languages used in Singapore and the region.

The first issue of CANOPY will be published in early 2016. Email us if you would like to be part of this exciting new effort! "Like" our Facebook page or email us to be the first to know when the inaugural issue is out.
